Need a proofreader? Hire a monkey.

A recent study shows monkeys have the ability to recognize good grammar from bad. Is this a newly acquired trait? If so, I imagine our species to be on oddly inverse paths: one ascending into heady discussions of literature and philosophy as the other descends into random, disorganized thought engendered by monosyllables and acronyms required of communicating in 140 characters. Hv a gd day!

  1. LOL. I like your posts, I've read a few of them now. I also liked looking at the pictures of advertisments that were outside. I am rather amazed at the monkey proof readers though :P x

  2. I don't know how well a monkey can proofread, but they have to spell better than I do. Of course they probably give a damn...

  8. Too funny. I used to be a proofreader. I always had this nagging suspicion that a monkey could do my job.

  9. Great post. Very amusing. I guess this means we are watching humanity advance to the point of self destruction.

  14. Theoretically an infinite number of monkeys typing on an infinite number of typewriters will eventually churn out the entire works of Shakespeare, right? So maybe this will help them get it done faster.

  15. This is precisely why the human race must evolve. Everything else does. Do you want even more of a monkey for a boss?

  17. Haha that is hilarious! Well I am guessing then that that means a monkey can proofread my blog. I no longer just want a pet monkey I NEED a pet monkey.

  18. The Drizzles once swung a bucket labeled "monkey business". It was happily chaotic, with a tinge of madness and quite a lot of jeerings and pinging. It's a pretty bad emotion, and no one can be sure it would make a proper business.

  19. @K @Admin @argun @TheKarenChronicles @EdBryant Thanks!

    @Eve Lopez What with grammar rules morphing so fast, I don't think many are up to the job these days, including monkeys!

    @Kevin K Only self destruction if you don't fancy working for apes ;)

    @thatgirlblogs #fb ;)

    @Jake P. Either that or revive the publishing industry ;)

    @Pyzahn @Chesca Jane Try TalentZoo ;)
