(Blogger notifier, you fail!) Thanks for the read and kind words. Hope you've won over a few of those skeptics by now ;)

@Joker--Normal people would find three blogs, poetry, short stories and a book *far* more daunting than posting in 140 characters ;) I bet Joyce Carol Oates doesn't twitter either.Ad Broad, oldest working writer in advertisinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04505122645106322698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1828158097601815711.post-52290561450209235662009-06-03T23:46:13.668-04:002009-06-03T23:46:13.668-04:00Just when I'm about to do an anti-twitter post...Just when I'm about to do an anti-twitter post you have to come along and ruin it with a brilliant post.

Though I'm only freelancing in regards to the Ad business, you bring up various solid points, but I'll just offer that I'm resistant to some types of change because though I see the benefit in it, I had enough editing of content amount during my agency stints.

I know I don't NEED to get to Twitter and I really don't even want to, but one day, maybe in a day, maybe in a year, I feel I'll have to log onto Twitter just for the access to blurbs to see if there are any good nuggets to pry from all the bullshit.

Who knows, maybe I'm just a twit for not twittering, but with three blogs, poetry, short stories and a book in the bag, I'd need to really get into it to get the most out of Twitter.

We'll see, not totally off the fence on this one, but I'll keep you posted, since I'm obviously more comfortable with posts. :)

cheers luvJokerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01224267023770962108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1828158097601815711.post-39375258900874301222009-05-19T23:45:10.799-04:002009-05-19T23:45:10.799-04:001) Great coverage of the CLIOs @adbroad. Felt almost as if I was there... :)

2) I've been looking for some more pro-twitter propaganda like this [Don't mind if I pass it along to a few skeptics, do you?]

3) I've been slowly peddling the "you need to get on twitter" speech to friends for months now... And am FINALLY starting to see most of them getting "round tuit." Majority are still lost in space, but I have faith. Just like I did/do in twitter and other social media opportunities out there.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Deanna Lazzaroni
www.twitter.com/@guiltyofcravingDeannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10226964924001127254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1828158097601815711.post-53942197867103858182009-05-19T13:21:00.000-04:002009-05-19T13:21:00.000-04:00@hmarulies Agreed. Just like tech-orati who claim to be leaving in droves because "there goes the neighborhood" now that Oprah and Ashton are here...

@Me_Rocke But I think sm contributes to sad notion that grammar, punctuation is dispensible. Don't. U. Agree

@Simon Billing Tx for following #CLIO50. Interesting point about Microsoft clients. Surprising. Not only b/c of the category. But in my experience, entry into sm is often led from the client side of the table.Ad Broad, oldest working writer in advertisinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04505122645106322698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1828158097601815711.post-30148262694239552732009-05-19T08:43:00.000-04:002009-05-19T08:43:00.000-04:00Great piece and thanks for the stream from Clios.

You could use twitter as an RSS newsfeed or an old-skool AOL chat room. I do a short pitch.

And then when I get the smug grin, and comments like "do I really care who's eating egg white omelettes," I stop trying to convince them of its usefulness. Include them out. We really won't be missing their participation, anyway.

Best, Howard
www.twitter.com/hmarguliesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
