The best 4th I have enjoyed to date was one I spent on Catalina Island in SoCal. I went with a girlfriend we stayed over night on the 3rd. The next day 2 cruise ships were parked in the harbor. The bars were packed. We met a local who knew everyone. Him and his friend took us from bar to bar drinking for free. He taught us how to make statue of liberty worthy hats out of palm fronds. All the locals drive golf carts. They have a parade of golf carts that make the guy in this photo seem boring! As time wound down towards the last ferry back we decided since we were now broke to go on the glass bottom boat ride. When we arrived there was this cute older couple who wanted to go but had no tickets. We sold ours took the proceeds and went back to our new friends to spend the last hour being more silly!

I have to find the pictures I have of the golf carts you would just love them!

Ha. Thanks for this visual memory, Howie. Would love to see pics. Now that's a parade!

I did look they sadly are in an album. This was before we all went digital! But I found this from last year you can skip around and see some of the golf carts!
