wikileaks launches product line
According to the Wall Street Journal today, Wikileaks is selling t-shirts, hoodies and other branded merch on Spreadshirt.com. Yes, Wikileaks condoms and coloring books already exist, but now you can choose from officially endorsed product line including messenger bags, laptop sleeves, umbrellas and baseball caps. Spreadshirt says the collection has "better than average" sales potential. Good news for Assange whose $1.5 million advance from Random House isn't nearly enough to defray costs. Lucky for him, he's managed to infiltrate secrets of wily CPG brand managers.

This is hilarious. I actually envision buying one, this nice pink tee you show, to wear to the gym.
I appreciate what Assange is doing with Wikileaks. It does harken back to the Pentagon Papers ideology. Perhaps his interests are pure; perhaps not. I don't know what to make of his being accused of sexual assault. That wouldn't help his cause with any of us. I guess we'll see.
This is awesome!
Would be interested in your gym buddies reactions, California Girl. Yes, will be interesting to see how the whole thing plays out. And how journalism will evolve in the Age of Wikileaks.
Thanks, Howie. Nice to see you again!
